Update

Hello everyone! Just wanted to give you all an update of our situation. We are currently staying in Dallas with Mike's sister Katie. We were very fortunate to have no damage to our home during Hurricane Ike. Some of our neighbors weren't so lucky... We still have no power in our area so that is why we decided to come to Dallas.
We do have some exciting news to report. I am with child! Almost 10 weeks along now. I have been pretty sick which was one of the big reasons we decided to take off. Having no a/c and eating top ramen wasn't exactly making the pregnancy any easier. Anyhoo we are doing well now, and are very grateful to Katie and Jonathan for letting us stay chez eux. Love you all, and please keep the victims of Hurricane Ike in your prayers.

Mini Thayer Reunion

We had a fun weekend :) Paul was in town for business, and Steve, Amy, and Max were visiting family in Dallas so we all convened for the weekend and had ourselves some fun!

Spirit Lake

Abby and I flew up to spirit lake a couple weeks ago for a week with family, sand, and sun!

I left town for a week, and I just got back today and guess what my hubby did all week late into the night??....

Finished!

Mike's 24th Birthday

Mike was away on a business trip for about 4 days and returned the day after his birthday. We made him a cake and got him some manly presents (3 Doors Down CD, and a toolkit). Abby was very happy to have Dad back as evidenced in the video. She always gives him a big hug when he comes home.

We also found out that Abby might be terrified of candles. We really don't know what exactly sent her screaming. It might make for some pretty interesting future birthday parties though. Abby also showcases a few of her very many new tricks she's learned since she's been here in Texas. Enjoy.




Oh yea, in case you are wondering, this is NOT uncommon behavior for Abby.
