Our little pilgrim

We had a fun Thanksgiving! We drove up to McKinney and had our yummy feast with the Willsons :) I also learned many things while preparing the food with Katie.
First - using the pumpkin pie recipe off the canned pumpkin makes a delicious pie. But don't cook the crust first! If this does happen, make sure you have plenty of store bought crust on hand and some chocolate pudding mix. Whip up the pudding, fill the cooked crust, and voila! a yummy chocolate pie :) You can't go wrong with more pie right?
Second - Do not use real green beans in the green bean casserole, been there done that, doesn't turn out... luckily green beans are a staple in most pantrys so crisis was averted, also cream of chicken soup works just as well....
Third - eating homemade orange rolls while making food is highly recommended (just remember to use milk, not water, when preparing the dough :)
Fourth - Katie's sister-in-law Sarah knows how to make a mean turkey!
Fifth - Frequent napping and cuddling with kids is completely necessary :)
Last, but not least - There's nothing wrong with wearing a bucket on your head!

Thanks for the great memories Katie!

I wish we'd figured out we were both going to be in the Dallas area - it would have been so fun to get together!

It was so much fun having you here. Good food, good fun, some massive recipe crises averted thanks to Jill's eagle eye. I also learned another of your gifts. You load the dishwasher better than anyone I know. Seriously, everything got so clean. Next time you come up we are making 10 batches of orange rolls!

Ollie keeps asking and asking to see these pictures. He can't get over that she has her own "Uniquwa." Then he said, "Ahhhhh, she is so cute. Look at her little teeth!"
So funny, I thought I would share!

Mike- The picture is of Ollie. Asked Marc about Edwin. He is laughing so hard right now. Good thing Eric had so many "special" friends to keep you entertained!
