Rise and Shout the Cougars are out!


We had a great time at the reunion this year. Great company, delicious food, and lots of laughs.


We had a family talent show. This is just some of The Ogzewalla clan.

All the grandkids did a dance ('cept for Owen and Ellie). Abby actually participated! (In all the practices she would just stand there)




I told Abby and Quinn to hold hands while walking on the road. They were very obedient!




The grandkids played the candybar game. It was so cute, and Abby enjoyed eating jr. mints for the first time.

Mike's 50 Some Odd Voices

Hey everybody, I just wanted to show you all what my husband does when me and the kids are out of town.  I am one lucky wife.  I get the distinguished honor of hearing about 15 of these every single day, whether I want to or not.  You just never know who is going to be reading the Ensign out loud at night.  Could be a chimney sweep, could be Droopy Dog, or could be a German.   I swear, some of these voices don't sound like him at all.  I hope you all enjoy this video as much as Mike does. 

 

4 Months!

Owen and 4 week old cousin Justin - The newest additions to the Thayer Fam.


Owen hit his 4 month mark! He sure is growing!!!
Weight: 17 pounds (90th percentile)
Height: 27 inches (0ff the charts!)

We sure love having Owen in the family. Abby loves to give him hugs and kisses. He's starting to grab things and loves it when you talk to him. He's even starting to laugh when you tickle under his arms. So cute!
He used to sleep like a champ, but lately he's been waking up 3 or 4 times a night! I'm exhausted to say the least!! If he doesn't stop this craziness soon I think I have to just let him cry. Breaks my heart :(
I won't go into all the details, but I think I've finally made a full recovery from having a 10 pounder! Yeah for me :)

Jane's Big Scare

Many more pictures from Spirit Lake to come, but thought we should share a pretty funny video at Jane's expense. We're sorry Jane, but you just give such a great reaction. If a crazed maniac burst in the room with a bloody chainsaw she could not have yelled louder. Priceless. Enjoy!

Ode to Mike

In honor of Mike's recent 25th birthday I thought I'd share with you some fun facts :)

1. Mike is quite the Oreo connoisseur. He can tell you from the first bite if the batch is good or bad.
2. Mike's favorite candy bar is PB Twix .
3. Mike had perfect attendance in high school and junior high.
4. Mike can imitate over 50 accents/voices
5. Mike firmly believes we have a global warming crisis on our hands
6. Mike is a great teacher. After he retires he would love to teach high school english
7. Mike's dad is 80 years old. Also his grandpa was born in 1865.
8. Mike can fall asleep in less than 3 seconds. On more than one occasion I have found him asleep on the floor in the middle of doing his back stretches.
9. Mike's favorite actor is Hugh Jackman, a.k.a. Wolverine
10. Mike can do a freakish amount of pull-ups
11. Abby has Mike wrapped around her little finger. She is a daddys girl for sure!
12. Mike sings in the shower. He can belt out Bon Jovi likes it's no ones business.
13. Ask Mike about his puns
14. Mike has many an Italian tie
15. Mike is currently writing a book
16. Mike likes steak
17. Mike is funny
18. Mike enjoys planning, preparing for, and executing Halo parties
19. Mike couldn't say his "r"s or "th"s till he was about 5 years old. He would say his name Mike-O-Sayo (for Michael Thayer)
20. Mike wrote me every single week for 2 years while serving a mission in Italy. (He's a great letter writer)
21. For one of our first dates, Mike squeezed into a pair of size 29 wranglers and got his butt signed by 3 rodeo queens. Awesome.
22. Mike makes very tasty brownies from scratch!
23. Mike's favorite show is Friday Night Lights
24. Mike had a chin strap beard in high school
25. Totally kidding about # 5
